Starting this spring, the LEC will have its own Twitch channel, and the announcement came just before the start of the 2020 LEC Spring season.

It’s a new year and the LEC is getting its own Twitch channel. This channel will be the home of the LEC broadcast and any future content specific for the region. In 2019, the EU LCS adopted the franchised model and rebranded to LEC.

The LEC quickly developed its identity as a league with original and exciting content. Out of all the leagues in the world, the LEC is arguably the only one creating this type of high quality and engaging content. The LEC created its own Twitter account outside of LoL Esports and now it has its own Twitch channel. Creating unique accounts for the LEC makes the league stronger as a standalone product.

Riot Games will still host the LEC broadcast on the main Twitch channel. The broadcast starts with Ready Check and the analyst’s desk.

The LEC also announced the destination of the 2020 LEC Spring final. This year, the champion will be decided in Budapest, Hungary. The 2020 LEC Summer final will be played in Malmö, Sweden. The LEC is on a mission to take the show to new destinations on the continent.

Get rewards for watching

League of Legends, to promote the competitive scene, includes a series of missions that players can complete by watching games. Watching the games only count if the players do it through the LoL Esports website.

These missions will repeat themselves for the duration of the split and count for every game the players watch, no matter the region. Some of the rewards include icons and blue essence.

To get the rewards, the players must log in with their League of Legends credentials and watch at least 10 minutes from each game.
